A little about me!
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn a bit more about me!
In short: I love storytelling. I have a profound passion for storytelling that has driven my career and life choices, and I am on a mission to immerse myself in the world of narratives. As a creative and enthusiastic multimedia journalist, I am wholeheartedly dedicated to sharing stories that connect people across the globe and bring fresh perspectives to the forefront.
My Story
Born in New York and raised in California, I grew up with a passion for travel, family and adventure. Not only did I have the privilege of growing up in Santa Barbara, California, but my family and I would travel back to the east coast during the summers to live with our extended family in Massachusetts and New York.

My first exposure to storytelling came from my Dad. The way he could captivate a whole dinner table for hours, or become friends through short laughs with strangers standing around us in airport security lines. I learned the power of exchanging stories from a young age, and strived to earn the talent I saw in my Dad.
The next significant career-building moment in my life happened through my english, human geography and religion courses in high school. I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life in a career that would allow me to travel and share stories from cultures around the world.

I found a home in journalism as I started researching and applying to colleges.Then, throughout my four years at Cal Poly, I carefully curated a curriculum path to widen and deepen my academic understanding of the journalism world.
​
I managed to keep my head above the water (as seen here), and I graduated Cum Laude with
a 3.63 GPA and various academic achievements such as President’s and Dean’s Lists, as well as
a few scholarships from each year. I graduated with three minors, Media Arts, Society and
Technology (MAST), Ethnic Studies and Philosophy.

Now, as I navigate the real world, I'm motivated to learn, grow and excel in a career oriented towards feature story production with the potential of travel, and I aim to work in a hands-on environment dedicated to shifting and uplifting cultural narratives through unique and engaging multimedia platforms.
